Vanmoof, a Dutch innovative bicycle brand is praised for their new bicycle design. One of the special features of this bicycle is the USB charged light. We are proud to say this light set was designed and engineered by Ask4Me Group in Guangzhou (China). The light is mounted into the bicycle frame, which makes it indestructibly, and is charged by USB adapter or by the sun. Their new bicycle design got a lot of media attention because of this sustainable innovation.

Dutch Design Promotion

The Dutch Consulate in Guangzhou works hard to promote Dutch Design in South China, for example during the Shenzhen Biennale and Guangzhou Design Week. Singapore reads about product design in China

Singapore, 20 january 2010 

Founder of Ask4Me Group Boukje Koch (MSc) was interviewed by the association of Dutch Businessmen in Singapore. The association made a special about China and was interested in the work of Ask4Me Group. Koch shares her experiences about product design in China and talks about the differences between Chinese and Western clients. The article can be read online.

Pim Skin Device

Paris, 2009

Inmotion Group launched a new innovating skin care product PIM and was published in several French fashion magazines. PIM is a LED device that clears and cures your skin. Ask4Me Group did the product design and development in China.

Entrepeneur of the Year

Laren (The Netherlands) 8 January 2010

Ask4Me Group likes to congratulate Noortje van der Loo director of BeeOnTime. She has been awarded with the title entrepreneur of the year 2009 by the Dutch Chambre of Commerce Gooi-, Eem- and Flevoland. She won the title based on her achievements with her childrens clock It's a Clock. The product design and production for this clock is done by product design agency Ask4Me Group in Guangzhou.

Product Design Guangzhou

Guangzhou (China), 3 December 2009

During the Guangzhou Design Week. Boukje Koch (MSc) and Mariet Schreurs (MSc) of Ask4Me Group were invited by the major of Guangzhou Zhang Guang Ning to join the welcoming of the overseas guests of the Guangzhou Design Week 2009. Together with a selected group of designers and politicians they discussed the importance of product design in Guangzhou. It was a special experience to drink tea in the City Hall of Guangzhou and exchange thoughts with fellow product designers. Some other participants of this event were:

Pimpin'' Dutch. You bring it we pimp it

Hong Kong, 28 november 2009 - 7 December 2009

Ask4Me Group, Three Dogs and Fang Studio will fix your product for free! The event is part of the Detour event of the Business of Design Week 2009 in Hong Kong. By the name Pimpin' Dutch we will pimp your old product. Pimpin’ Dutch will not return your object to its original state, but sculpt it into an officially Dutch Design orange collectors item. You can hand in your product during the BoDW (preferably saturday 27th of november or sunday 28th of november). Pimped objects will remain on display in room 201 for the duration of the Detour event and can be picked up on Sunday 7th of December.

 

You can recognize the Pimpin' Dutch Team by their orange overalls. You bring it we pimp it.

Guangzhou Design Week 2009

Guangzhou (China), 4-8 December 2009

5 december 2009, during the Guangzhou Design Week Ask4Me Group gave a lecture about the importance of user research and quality control. The Guangzhou Design week is an annual international event for promoting innovation and design. Themed by “Win By Design”, Guangzhou Design Week covers a diversity of design fields such as city planning, architecture, interior design, industrial design, graphic design, branding & communicating design and fashion design. The Guangzhou Design Week developed into one of the largest, most influential and comprehensive international design festivals in China. Ask4Me Group's lecture was part of a Dutch Design Seminar and held by Mariet Schreurs (MSc) and Amon Shao on the 5th of December 2009.

Foshan International Creative Week 2009

Foshan (China), 18-25 October 2009

Ask4Me Group joined the Foshan International Creative Week 2009 (South China). The organization of this event intended to bring creative minds together and let people think about what is design and art. Next to product design, other fields of the creative industry were represented; art, graphic design, interior design and architecture. It's a Clock! Bubble

Köln (Germany), 17-20 September 2009

It's a Clock lounched their Bubble Clock Line on the Kind+Jugend Fair 2009 in Köln (Germany). It's A Clock Bubble structures daily activities and helps children understand time. Shunde International Industrial Design Exposition 2009

Shunde (China), 4-6 September 2009

 Ask4Me Group joined the Second International Industrial Design Exposition in Shunde (SIIDE2009). Together with four other Dutch Design agencies Ask4Me Group presented Dutch Design. Ask4Me Group took this opportunity to talk to Chinese manufacturers, look at new prototype opportunities and discuss product design with Chinese product design agencies, researchers but also young talent. Benelux in China

Boukje Koch joined the opening event of the Benelux Chambre of Commerce Pearl River Delta (in China). One of the goals that the Bencham China PRD shares with Ask4Me Group is to link product design from Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg to China. The Bencham promotes the Benelux countries in China as an integral part of the European Union, renowned for their excellent products and its friendly business climate.
